Enrollment for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program begins on Tuesday, but some cattle producers on a Facebook event over the weekend still had questions about how USDA is implementing the program and how losses are being determined. The program pays mainly for livestock and crops sold from Jan. 15 through April 15.
July corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are up 2 3/4 cents, and July KC wheat is up 5 cents.
Strong triple-digit gains developed through the day Tuesday as traders became more focused on longer-term support through the meat complex. Renewed outside market support through the week after moderate to active gains in most markets Tuesday could spark additional livestock gains.
